EAT EM ⚡️ Recipes #3: Whitetail Deer (venison) Jerky

If you're looking for a high-protein, flavorful snack to fuel your outdoor adventures, venison jerky is a must-try. Whether you're heading out for a hunt, hitting the trails, or just want a tasty way to enjoy your wild game, this jerky is packed with bold flavors. It's the perfect grab-and-go snack for any occasion. 

We used venison skirt and had great results. 

Ingredients

  • Soy sauce or Japanese BBQ sauce

  • Worcestershire sauce

  • Apple cider vinegar

  • Brown sugar

  • Garlic powder

  • Onion powder

  • Smoked paprika

  • Cayenne pepper

  • Chili flakes

  • Salt 

  • Peper 

  • Instacure #1

  • Venison

Directions

  1. Slice venison into thin strips, to your preference.

  2. Add sliced venison to a bag or bowl.

  3. Add all of the ingredients above, ensuring an even coating.

  4. Let the venison marinate for 24-48 hours in the fridge, shaking occasionally to distribute the flavors.

Cooking

Set your dehydrator or smoker to 165°F. Dry the jerky with a paper towel. Lay the venison strips evenly on the racks and let them cook for about 8 hours until you reach your desired texture.
